When Covid Cares Come Swirling

Posted in COVID-19

Last updated on April 30, 2021

I’m so tired of this virus
it’s not what truly wearies us
yoke-heavy rules and worries
distract us from the plague within
guarding earthly life so brief
clouds the plague of sin.

Lord of Lords you use it as a tool
to bend the knee of every fool
fearing an enemy at the gate
forgetting the virus in the heart
determines our eternal fate.

When Covid cares come swirling
a contrite prayer of love
gladden angels hovering above.
Oh dear Jesus come and see
a human heart has placed their trust in thee.
